You’ve been there through every laughter

You’ve been there through every tear

You’ve been there through my pain in the darkness

You’ve been there even when it rains

You’ve been there when my world was crumbling

You’ve been there through my saddest moments

You’ve been there through my mistakes and failures

You’ve been there when I felt so alone

You’ve been there when I suffered loss

You’ve been there when I searched for life’s meaning

You’ve been there when I was looking for love

You’ve also been there in my happiest moments

And you will still be there even after I’m gone

You turn my darkness into daylight and I can see more clearly your hands is in everything. Your love is eternal…..

It’s easier said than done

Life is not always easy when you’re constantly on the run.

There are people who are extremely successful living their dreams

Making millions of dollars, it’s hard so it seems

But as you know, it’s easier said than done

As you search for answers, you must understand

Nothing will ever happen if you don’t have a plan

So reach for the sky if that is your wish

But realize in life there is always a twist

It’s easier said than done

Believe and get what you want out of life and know in your heart it’s going to take time

However just be careful where you step it’s a serious climb

It’s easier said than done

So what don’t you worry of the challenges that may come your way

Life is hard and sometimes stormy but there is coming a day

Regardless of the problems that you’ll leave behind

Guess what things will change bare that in mind

It’s easier said than done

You have to know what you want out of life even if it’s hard to explore

That’s the only way you’ll soar

Have the ability to put things into perspective

Search and reach for the stars and go introspective

It’s easier said than done

Ask yourself the most serious question when you contemplate your life’s direction

It takes faith and belief as you get to that intersection

I know and understand it’s easier said than done

Acknowledge God is your strength, you can’t do it alone

Our God in Heaven who sits on His thrown

That’s the answer that you can’t ignore

Otherwise life would be a terrible bore

Because when you focus on this life, it’s never easier said than done.

Do it your way….

Setting goals and trying to be like the over achievers in our world is not for everyone. Success comes in many forms and it can be as simple as doing something you’ve never done before.

Do it your way and on your own terms. You’re the only one who can define what being successful means to you. If you try to live your life based on other people’s opinion of what your life should be, you will live a life of disappointment.

Find the truth of what being successful means to you as an individual. Stop trying to be someone who doesn’t feel comfortable in their own skin because of social pressures. The world’s view of being successful does not dictate who we are or what kind of life we would like to live in the future. We all have a different road to travel which will take us to our ultimate destination.

Killer Hill

killer hill 3.jpg It was a beautiful spring morning and as I cruised through my neighborhood, I drove passed killer hill. I call it killer hill because when my children was very small, I decided it would be an adventure for us to take a nice long walk. Big mistake! As we approached the third block, there was grumbling and complaining and I had to try to carry them the rest of the way. Needless to say, I almost didn’t make it myself. It was really exhausting to say the least and I thought I was in shape. Ha!

Well, this morning as I went past killer hill, I saw an elderly man who was short, bending over because he couldn’t stand up straight with a walking cane, slowly walking up killer hill. He looked like he was in his late eighties with a scruffy white beard.

As I gazed at him with complete admiration, I began to imagine what his life was like before he got to this stage. Besides putting me to shame, walking up that hill, he had a past history that we will never completely know or understand.

What we can deduct is the commonalities from all our lives. He was someones child, educated through our school system in some capacity, worked in order to support himself and or family and went through good times and bad. I wondered if he ever served in the army. What else defined this man’s life? I began to think into the future and what my life would look like once I got to his age.

Life is short and getting shorter

Life is really short, and the quality of life getting shorter everyday. Anything can go wrong along the way. But what I admired about this man is his ability to stand up and walk even with his disabilities. Its easier to sit down and do nothing rather than stand up to do something. Will I have the desire, strength or motivation to follow his lead in spite of my age? Or will I sit down and play dead.

What I learned from this experience is to learn to enjoy each day to its fullest. While you have good health and youth on your side, don’t squander it on foolishness. Make everyday count for today is given and tomorrow is not promised. Dream and live your dreams and may your yesterdays yield better tomorrows.

Life can definitely be a challenge from year to year as different trials and tribulations make up the fabric of our lives. But there is always hope for better tomorrows.
