Monday Morning Blues

Here we go again

Sunday was such a beautiful day especially this time of the year.

The sun was shining, birds was singing and it was such a warm and refreshing day.

I was extremely inspired to do something anything but sit home.

People are much nicer this time of the year.

After all it’s spring…

This season brings out the best in people and it shows.

There are many cars on the road causing slower traffic movements.

But who cares…it’s Sunday, time to go out and have some fun.

Wow, how time flys..

Pretty soon you’re prepping for the inevitable..

The Monday morning blues. It’s time to get back to work or school or anything in between.

I don’t know what it is about Monday’s that just makes my jaws drop.

You go from a Friday high to a Monday low.

The thought of resetting your life back to one of working for the next few days on a job that is mediocre at best makes my skin crawl.

Don’t worry I’m working on that aspect of my life…seriously all kidding aside…

You should to if you’re not happy where you are…

Know where you are going and have a plan.

Live your passion and maybe Mondays will inspire your dreams rather than crippling your thinking.

That’s the great motivator to improving the quality of your life.

By Tuesday you’re set in you’re groove and you’re great. Ready to put your pedal to the metal.

You’re already prepping for the next weekend…

Thank God it’s only a few hours before your day is finally over.

Here’s to Tuesday….

Missing Mom

I thought she would be around much longer. Sometimes life throws you an unexpected curve.

The initial shock leaves one in a state of disbelief as you continue to pick up the pieces of her life left behind.

Some of us have gone through this experience. You’re left with a hole in your life that a mothers love will no longer be able to fill.

Sometimes on my way to work I would reach for the phone to call her as we talked about any and everything.

Now she is no longer here…..

Almost one year ago, I lost my mom due to a ruptured aneurism. She was 87 years old and went home to meet the lord.

This first Mothers day without her is difficult and weighing very heavily on my mind.

We were mom and daughter but we were also best friends.

She was special strong and full of spirit. A prayer warrior, mom was always praying for our family and others who had their battles.

Her death took our family by surprise because the symptoms showed up unexpectedly. She died within a week.

There is a lesson to be learned as we go through our life experiences.

Never take your mom for granted. Thank her and let her know how much she’s loved and appreciated because you never know what tomorrow will bring.

This Mothers day I would like to honor all the mother’s who work hard to take care of their families.

For those whose lost their moms, remember the good memories you shared.

Mom I miss you and you will always be in my heart.

Hidden Scars

We wear a mask upon our face.

A heart filled with stories,

Life experiences that’s kept secret.

Hidden…Private

As we peer into a mirror

A face appears with eyes intent

On hiding behind a mask

Of imperfections of a body and soul

Damaged by life’s struggles.

Scarred…

Revealing an emptiness of silence

Shh…

Which keeps us from speaking

About our life’s secrets

Afraid of judgment and consequences

We are broken and held hostage.

Revealing a shadow of a person,

A human being with hidden scars.

Held in a prison of mindless thoughts

Of past mistakes and regrets

That paralyzes the mind

Remaining in that secret place

Of excess baggage….

Never wanting anyone to discover

The mask which conceals our real identity.

Secrets occupies a space in the corner

Of ones mind under lock and key

With a sign knock but do not enter.

Fragments whispered to a trustworthy soul.

Restrained, but never really

Revealing the full complexity

Of a life scarred by negative experiences.

Which boggled and transformed the mind.

Trapped in a world of misconceptions

Masquerading…..

Wearing different disguises, at different times

Stuck in the past of perceptions

A reality….more like a nightmare

Concealed, tucked away and hopefully  forgotten.

Celebrating life

Live in the moment

Laugh a lot

Like less and

Love more

Celebrate life

Enjoy your dreams

Dance away your sadness

Forget the madness

Share your time

With people you enjoy

Dare to be different

Hopefully not strange

Make life

More meaningful, not meaningless.

The time is now

Get out of your comfort zone

Discover a new you.

Life without Money

Imagine…what would your life look like if money didn’t exist?

All our lives we’ve been chasing the dollar to the point where we’re divided rather than united.

Start thinking out of the box…

Everytime you leave your home you are spending money.

What would your world look like if money was not the main focus of your existence?
