Let me not walk in

Darkness

But in the light

Open My eyes

So I may gain wisdom

When I marvel at your words

Open my eyes

So I can walk in peace

As I pray for your guidance

Open my eyes

So I will not be misled

By those who surround me

Open my eyes

So I can read your word

And walk in the way of truth

Open my eyes

To God’s guiding light in my life

So I may not be blinded

Open my eyes

So I may be blessed

With the ability to discern

Truth from lies

Grant me the courage

To stay on course

So I may be a doer

And not just a

hearer of the written word.

May God be Praised

Out of Balance

Life is a Balancing act,

There are Good days and bad days

Ups and downs

Rights and wrongs

Love and hate

Happy and sad

Peace and war

Good and Evil

Why is this So? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were

All Good days not bad

No wrongs, just right

No downs, just up

No Wars, just peace

No Sadness, but happiness

No hate, just love

How about no evil just good

No disharmony but a Symphony of harmony

I wonder,

This too would be out of balance

If all things are the same,

Life can be pretty mundane

Maybe its good to be out of balance

To learn, too grow, to imagine a better world

Which creates the perfect Harmony.

They say “age is but a number” but is it really? When I was in my youth, life seemed like it was going to last forever. I was not afraid of taking risks like many of todays teenagers. In the mind of a young person, the world is an adventure  waiting to be discovered. Some of them feel indestructible, willing to take chances in dangerous situations.
