CHASING YOUR DREAMS

DSC02021

Life is an illusion, a made up reality of what you think is possible. We all live in our own little world which was manifested based on our emotions, and life preferences. Some are victims of their circumstance and environment. What if you began to change the way you think about what’s actually possible? We have the power and ability within us to choose that which satisfies or get rid of what dissatisfies. In our homes, if we don’t like how it’s decorated, we change the colors, the furniture, redo the bathrooms and kitchen to suit our personalities. We watch shows like HGTV, look at interior decorating magazines, and search the internet for ideas to create what makes us feel comfortable in our homes. What if you looked at your life in a similar fashion? After all, this is your life and you only get one time to live it in the manner you choose. Change what does not define you in your career, relationships, lifestyle, health, or whatever restrains you from living the life you want to live. Do you have dreams to travel, have financial freedom, more free time, or become an entrepreneur? We all have different dreams and thinking “someday I’ll do this or that,” if not put into action, might as well stay on a shelf like a book collecting dust which was never read.  Right now, most of us are living and settling for whatever comes our way. We are coasting through life believing that this is all there is, and therefore we accept the good, the bad and the ugly side of life without making adjustments to live a life worth living. If we are to truly live our dreams, we must design our indoor life to match our life on the outside. Otherwise, we are living a life of frustration and we are not aligned on purpose. There is a famous quote which says “people don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan.” Design your world and start chasing that which if you believe is possible. Create a life you love to live and begin to live your dreams.

  1. “Change what does not define you in your career, relationships, lifestyle, health, or whatever restrains you from living the life you want to live.” Amen, we do have a choice. Thank you for your inspiring words.

  2. One of my favorite quotes is from Pope John XXIII.

Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do.
