CONSUMED BY MY THOUGHTS

animated-newspaper-image-0025 This world is moving faster and faster, day by day. Every time you turn on the news, or read a newspaper, there is always some tragedy taking place around our world. We never know what to expect as we hold our breath daily, praying for good news.

Wars and rumors of wars have plagued our existence since the beginning of time. Climate change talks with promises but no real solutions. Cancer, diabetes and other diseases kills people daily. Mass shootings are becoming the norm and threaten stability in our nation. Terrorism keeps us in a state of fear. Now on our home soil, gun violence destroys innocent lives and their families for years to come.

In this time and in periods of stress, one must exercise caution. God did say in the Word that, “there will be trials and tribulation.” Life can be a struggle, however, we must strive to move forward  in spite of daily negative events. We must stand firm and trust God to assist us through these turbulent times. Pray for those who are suffering.

In conclusion: “Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him that he may direct your path.”

Proverbs3:5-6

Thanks In Giving

fallAnother year, Another Holiday

A day of thanksgiving and praise

Thanking God for all his love, goodness and tender mercies

Special time shared with family and friends

Feasting on earthly delights

Living in gratitude for all his provisions

And yet remembering and giving to those in need

There is thanks in giving and not always receiving

A time for reflection and praise

Thank you father for the privilege to be called your son or daughter

Sending Jesus to point the way

As undeserving servants we give thanks for your patience,

when we walk in the wrong direction

Thank You Father for your Blessings and inspiration in your word.

Bless and praise the lord and call upon his name

LIVING WITH PASSION

muscian

Recently, I saw a program on PBS featuring Eric Clapton in concert. I never knew anything about his music but suddenly I was captivated by his songs and the passion in which he sang. Hanging on his every word with joy touched my soul, Mr. Clapton sang the song called Tears in Heaven. He gives through his music and we receive the benefits. If you ever want to get a glimpse of what living with passion and dedication is all about, check out people who sing for a living, play sports, musicians, dancers, or anyone who is truly committed to their intention. I was in awe as he drew me into the moment. His dedication to his art all these years is truly inspiring for all who attends his concerts. Continue reading “LIVING WITH PASSION”

Rubbernecking Delays

traffic2Have you ever been on a highway backed up by traffic for miles? Ever wonder, what’s the hold up? Slowly you crawl as time ticks away and frustration starts to build. When you finally arrive at the point of curiosity, a police officer has pulled a motorist to the side of the road or there is road work being done and everyone is beginning to slow down while gawking  thus causing rubbernecking delays. At times, it’s something very serious but that’s few and far in between in most cases. After sitting in a car for hours, extremely agitated by the turn of events that unfolded, you finally arrive late to your desired destination. Sounds eerily familiar as I believe this scene is all too common to those of us who drive day after day. Continue reading “Rubbernecking Delays”

ACCEPTANCE

wayne-dyer-peace-past-present

Accepting your past mistakes is not an easy venture, especially if you’re not exactly happy with your previous history. We all wish at some point we can go back in time and do over some part of our life. However that is not God’s wish for the valuable lessons you are learning along the way. Press on, keep moving forward, forgive yourself and refresh the life you are now living. Have a willingness to tolerate a difficult or unpleasant situation as you move steadily towards your goals. With God all things are possible if you’re willing to believe.
