Who is leading the charge?

Who is leading the charge of mankind into battle? The battle for our hearts and minds have been going on for centuries. There is so much hatred in our world today against mother, brother, sister, and friends. Who or what is leading this charge? What are we watching and listening to which shifts our consciousness from love to hatred. Think about it, for in the beginning we were united in love from the first human beings, Adam and Eve. Now we are divided, misled and deceived by the world around us which is constantly changing. So, who is leading this charge of wars, greed by our corporations and deception by our politicians? Continue reading “Who is leading the charge?”

For the first time, in a long time,  I was at a lost for words. I was unsure of what I wanted to write about because of the economic climate in our country. Numb and paralyzed based on the series of event that took place this past week, my mind was in a state of confusion.

We the people elected our 45th President of the United States of America. His Name is Donald J Trump, whose promise of change, and his ability to hear the voices of those who are hurting in this country propelled him to a victory. His election was like an earthquake, which rippled across the world which his opponents didn’t anticipate and was totally astonished by the results.

Unfortunately, not everyone was in agreement, as protests of his candidacy sent echo’s of disenchantment around the country. It was believed based on exit polls that Mrs. Clinton would have been the presumed winner. The faces shown on television of the Democratic team, exposed their disappointment and shock which transpired after state by state fell into the hands of the Republican’s.

I believe God is in control of all things seen an unseen. So therefore, I will continue  to pray for healing of our country.

We are all concerned with the direction of this country, whether you’re on the red or blue team. The fact that the one percent elite keeps the majority of the wealth in this country and don’t pay their fair share really isn’t helping anyone. There is a lot of anger in this country because people are being taken for granted while these politicians are pursuing their own agenda. They are also tired of the struggles in Washington and their inability to help the people economically in need. The plight of everyday people has fallen on death ear.

We are all living in interesting times, and the ride is going to get bumpy in the next few years. Some people are hopeful, banking on Mr. Trump to bring about the change they seek, while others continue to demonstrate in opposition to his Presidency. There is a lot of fear and disgust due to the level of uncertainty in a world spinning out of control.

I hope and Pray we learn to come together as a people, not divided by political parties, race, or ethnicity. We the people have more common ground than differences. Over the next four years, let our voices be heard in opposition to anything which does not serve our interest.

Nuggets of Truth:  “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.”

Broken Promises

Promises are meant to be kept, yet without thinking, we hurt others by breaking those promises, and destroying them in the process.

We live in a world of broken promises and shattered dreams. While we search for a better life and a brighter tomorrow, sometimes we look towards others for help, who then make commitments they can not keep. They are story tellers expressing themselves in colorful words.

Look at our political system, past and present. Many candidates continue to make many promises and when elected into public office, all bets are off the table. Prior agreements are no longer valid and dismissed like it never happened. Unfortunately nothing changes and life goes on as usual. A series of disappointments year after year as we continue to vote for the same candidates making promises they can’t keep.

Why do we keep believing the hype? Why are we so gullible and willing to believe others, when they don’t have our best interest at heart? I believe it’s because we genuinely want to believe they are speaking the truth and they care about the end results. What is the end result? Maintaining a working relationship based on truth and honesty.

When you speak from your heart and promise to do this or that, it is taken for granted, you will keep that promise. In our political system and our Major Corporations, promises are espoused and people are willing to follow these leaders until promises are broken.

We are better than what or whom we choose to believe no matter what the situation. Whether in relationships on the job, friendships, or family situations. Don’t lose heart!

What does a promise mean and what does a broken promise look like? Making a promise is the ability to keep your word and follow through on whatever one said they were going to do.  A BROKEN promise will destroy trust and break hearts. The bible clearly tells us in the book of James the following;

“But above all my brother, do not swear, either by heaven or earth, or by any other oath. But let your ” yes” be yes and your “no” be  no.”

A promise was meant to be kept resulting in trust of another person. If you promise to do something, follow through.

Examining some absurdities in life helps keep things in perspective. If you don’t want to be disappointed by others, don’t look for them to keep a promise which was never their intention. Their words are in the right place but their heart is misplaced and their thoughts changed in the wrong direction.

In conclusion, if you decide to make a promise to do something, or to help someone in whatever state they are in, keep it or don’t promise to do anything at all.
