When I was younger, I set up a lot parameters I needed in my life in order to be fulfilled and happy. Some of the beliefs I had was in order to be happy, I wanted to be married with children, have a wonderful career, a home out in the country and this list of my needs continued throughout my life. Why do we place so much constraints on our definition of Happiness? Continue reading “HAPPINESS”
When Tragedy Strikes
When I woke up this morning I heard the news of a shooting that occurred in the community of Charleston in South Carolina. A man with a gun entered an African American church and after one hour, while listening to them pray to God, shot and killed nine people. According to the news, this was clearly a hate crime perpetrated by a young man who obviously is very disturbed. I can’t imagine the pandemonium that took place at the time of the shooting. This man took the lives of innocent people and will affect the nine individuals entire families, friends, neighbors and leave a terrible stain on our nation. Continue reading “When Tragedy Strikes”

THANKING GOD
Keep Thanking God in the Midst of the storms of life.
Thank him for his faithfulness and for his presence even through
the rough times
knowing you can lean on him through the trials
and testing of your faith
He is refining you like silver to become the person
he has created you to be
Live your life in a manner worthy of his calling
Don’t worry about what you can’t control
for he will perfect all that concerns us
Learn to be content and turn it over to the Lord
Just keep thanking God for all his goodness
Stand firm
A LIFE OF TRUTH
A life of truth is a life of freedom to be who you truly are
A life of truth is a life awakened to what’s going on in our world whether it’s climate change,
deforestation, animal extinction, wars and the likes
A life where you are truly connected to God in mind, body and soul
A life of discernment and wisdom to be the best you can be
A life where money does not define or control who you are based on your socioeconomic status
A life where responsibility is not wearing you down like a wet garment
A life where you are free to be who you want to be without the boundaries that sometimes confine us.
A life where your debts is not dictating your lifestyle
A life where people can share with one another and live in peace and harmony
A life where the color of a person, language, culture, ethnicity or anything that seeks to separate us does not exist
A life of truth is giving to those who are less fortunate
A life where technology, television commercials, and the trappings of this economy does not control our behavior as to who we are, what we want and what we would truly like out of our lives
A life where our souls are not for sale to the highest bidder
A life where we can walk through the flowers and trees and live lovingly and responsibly to all that God has created
A life of truth simply put can mean different things to different people but the bottom line is we are all connected to all that we see around us and as we experience life let us try to leave it a better place as we think about the consequences to our inaction
