Silence

Silence can be found in so many ways

Be silent, be still get caught in a daze

The mind is searching, go deeper inside

Overwhelmed by thoughts

So vast and so wide

Do you need to know why?

Silence requires you spend time alone

Focus more on the unknown

Let your mind travel in unusual places

Experiencing life and leaving no traces

Be silent! Be still

All you need is your will

Tune out the world as you go to that place

Breathe slowly as you enter that space

The mind streaming thoughts in this altered reality

No rhyme or reason, just acting randomly

Ignore the noise

Which may break your concentration

Cell phones can definitely ruin your mind’s conversations

Be silent, be still

Think deep in your head

It only takes time

You’ll never know what lies ahead.

Deadlines and Pressures

stress-111425_640

Overwhelmed by life’s challenges

Situations which seeks to confront

Crisis that show up when we least expect it

Overloaded with pressures placed upon us

Deadlines, deadlines, and more deadlines

Detrimental to our physical and mental health

Stress can kill, if you allow it to control your life

Critical choices needed for a spirit of change

Let go of what doesn’t serve you

Choose a life worth living

Breathe, release, relax

Focus on what really matters

Shout, stretch, exercise

Develop effective strategies for coping

Loosen the tension that grips and binds

Turn stress into a positive force for growth and change

Believe God will get you through the difficult times

Nugget of truth: The book of psalms in the bible has helped me through many challenges. Prayer avails much and releases the tension we sometimes store within our minds.

HAPPINESS

Some of the beliefs I had was in order to be happy, I wanted to be married with children, have a wonderful career, a home out in the country and this list of my needs continued throughout my life. Why do we place so much constraints on our definition of Happiness? Continue reading “HAPPINESS”

When Tragedy Strikes

sad-black-womanWhen I woke up this morning I heard the news of a shooting that occurred in the community of Charleston in South Carolina. A man with a gun entered an African American church and after one hour, while listening to them pray to God, shot and killed nine people. According to the news, this was clearly a hate crime perpetrated by a young man who obviously is very disturbed. I can’t imagine the pandemonium that took place at the time of the shooting. This man took the lives of innocent people and will affect the nine individuals entire families, friends, neighbors and leave a terrible stain on our nation.
