The name Errand Girl was given to me by my Mom in a fun way because it seemed like every time she tried to get in touch with me, I was always running an errand. As funny as it may seem, this is a part of my life if given the choice I would prefer to avoid. Unfortunately between my daily chores and my job, there are trips to the grocery store, the cleaners, home projects and all of the other places one has to take their children.
When I decided to create a new reality, I knew in my heart in this area of my life something has to give. If I can implement small changes by inserting trips to a spa, volunteering in order to give back or doing things I truly enjoy and limiting some of the other errands, living in this life would take on a whole new meaning. When I was younger, I don’t recall having so much of my time preoccupied by errands. As we get older, we have more and more responsibilities, whether its our home, our job or family and other outside influences.
Why is life so complicated? In a blink of an eye life can become so demanding and overwhelming that it affects your ability to live a life worth living .When will it end and when will I finally slow down to live the life I truly want to live? Living a life that’s out of balance takes some real soul searching to get back on track. We all need some alone time to think about how we can put into action small changes to improve the quality of our lives. And as I stopped to think about my day to day schedule I realized, life is really not about me and what I want but it’s a process a journey of taking care of my needs as well as the needs of others.By the way while I was writing this blog I found out there are services out there who will work for a fee as your personal assistant should you desire to go that route.
Nuggets of Truth: LIFE IS A JOURNEY OF NEVER ENDING ERRANDS, FOR THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING ON YOUR TO DO LIST WHICH HAS TO BE DONE. CHANGE YOUR WAY OF THINKING IN ORDER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND LIFE WILL TAKE ON A WHOLE NEW MEANING.
Take time to stop and smell the roses, enjoy the views of this beautiful world, take a walk, spend some time with people who lift you up, do something fun and start enjoying your life. Running errands is part of our life but it doesn’t need to control who we are and what we do with our free time.
Yes! I love this. I always used to tell my friends that we’ve gotten so busy, we forgot to play. Then we would stop and do cartwheels or skip and sing a song, or dance. When we went back to business after that short break, we were more focused, got done faster and moved on to something else more quickly.
Taking time out in life is always a blessing. Thank you for your comment
