Life’s Failures


Facing life, with all its twists and turns, takes a certain level of courage. Meeting your intended objective is paramount to feeling successful. We’ve all had different experiences which led to pain and discontentment. Picking up the pieces and forging ahead will set you on a new road to discover solutions for future endeavors.

When you are trying to achieve a certain level of success in your life, at a job, a business, or in your personal life, there will be times that success feels unattainable. That’s because, as it was once quoted, “obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off the goal.”

Don’t give up even when the storms of life are raging. There are lessons to be learned through all the hardships. Sometimes disappointment leads to blessings that you never anticipated. Learn to begin again and again, regardless of the cost.

If you look back in history, there are many famous people who have failed. Somehow they found the strength to persevere and move forward in spite of past failures. Many people have found their way by staying true to their dreams and inspired others to continue on their path to success.

Oprah Winfrey failed as an anchor in Baltimore. She is now recognized as one of the world’s richest women.

Bill Gates failed at many business ventures and came out more successful than previously.

Thomas Edison was told he wasn’t very bright. Fired from his first two jobs, he went on to hold more than a 1000 patents.

Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor because he lacked imagination and creativity, followed by a number of failed businesses. He went on to find a recipe for success from past failures.

Steve Jobs was fired from his own company. Credited with the Apple products, he became a billionaire.

King David in the Bible failed many times yet God considered him a man after His own heart.

There are so many other successful people who went on to achieve their desired dreams. What is the common thread which connects their ability to succeed? Passion, perseverance, and the ability to keep moving forward while going through the fires of life. Giving up was never an option.
