I sat quietly on a bench with my dog biscuit besides me in the middle of the afternoon. My spirit was longing to connect to that which surrounds me in harmony. Gazing at a pristine lake, a slight breeze gently blowing across my face, I look on in wonder and amazement at God’s creation. My focus is not on the people passing by or the cars rushing in either direction as I am capturing the moment that lies before me. I feel like I am in another world, away from the busyness of life, captivating the movement of the water, the sun gently heating my skin while I soak in some vitamin D. In awe of the beauty of all the trees that forms the landscape, small mountains adding another dimension to its magnificence. I can sit here all day just getting into the moment and pureness of life. We are so blessed and yet we take so much for granted. As I breathe in ever so deeply, I breathe in the positive and try to let go of negative thoughts which disturbs my peace. I watch the beautiful ducks, swans and geese guide lightly across the lake effortlessly without a care in the world. Lilly pads floating in yellows and greens adding a splash of color to the lake. Flowers in white, purple and blues dancing in a delicate balance near the waters edge. What a wonderful sight to behold.
BE STILL AND LEARN TO LET GO
JUST FOR A MOMENT
OBSERVE NATURE IN ALL ITS DELIGHT
IT WILL HELP YOU FEEL MORE AT PEACE
WHILE YOU SOAK IN THE LIGHT
Before I sat on that park bench I was having such a rough week. I learned to let go of that which was robbing me of my joy and I realized reflecting on God and his truths is more important and rewarding than negative issues that creeps into our lives in order to destroy our peace. Life can be a battle at times but it’s how we choose to deal with that which troubles us the most, will ultimately make us feel frustration or joy when you quiet the soul.
Very inspirational and uplifting i pray this blog reaches a lot of God’s children especially in the time’s we are living in. God Bless you keep on inspiring proud of you and love you.
